The life of Boy Scouts

Need I say more ... Broadie has absolutely loved being a boy scout. Here are some fun pictures of things that he has been learning and doing. He learned how to make a catapult (its is actually pretty sweet, even the big boys are jealous of Broadie's scouting talents)
They shoot bows n' arrows (and yes he can hit a bulls-eye) he is REALLY good at this!

They have learned about Gun Safety

The make knights armor so they can play games

Here is knight in shining armor (ok, maybe its not shining, its white, but it is sure close enough)
I just love this little guy, who is getting to be not so little any more.

It's Gonna Be a Party

Broadie's Birthday is coming up soon, I can't believe he will be nine already, he is aging me too darn fast! I thought I would put up his birthday invitation in case any of you want to come (I did take out all of our important info because I didn't want it on the web) but you all should know our phone numbers so call me for details if you want to come. It will be fun!

Also, a quick little update, I finally got another part time job, and I am pretty excited about it, it is at an Urgent Care here in town, and I will work part time on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays while Broadie is in school. And, I can still keep my other WONDERFUL Part time job that I do from home! Horray! haha. I guess that is all I have for updates so far, things are kind of boring right now, Scotty is back in school, so we don't get to see a whole lot of him unless it is the weekend, but luckily he only has less then 2 years left and he will be done with his masters in engineering and his MBA, so GO HONEY! I love you (but just hurry and finish school, cuz I miss you too) :-)

Labor Day Fish Fry

On Monday we had some of Scotts family come over to cook the fish they caught this summer, we called it the fish fry :-) kinda catchy huh! We also had hamburgers and other good food.

The best part was the new dessert I discovered, its called a Brown Cow, and all it is, is vanilla ice cream and chocolate milk, but is sure is delicious, as you can see, the kids absolutely loved it

Templeton at the State Fair

Ok, so maybe I am referring to myself! We went to the State Fair, which is DEFINITELY one of my mostest favorite things to do, why, well, because I LOVE all of the food, and I think I gain 100 pounds by the time we leave! BUT we have SO much FUN ... I just think my new name should be templeton. ...We did find this poster, I laughed so hard, it is wrong on so many levels, but I thought maybe since I have turned into a chunky rat, maybe I should enter myself to win! Maybe it would help me stop bing eating at the fair! Its just so good ... burgers, fries, corn on the cob, indian tacos, corn dogs, strawberry kabobs (which is 7 strawberries on a stick covered in chocolate), chocolate covered cheesecake, and of COURSE ICECREAM!!!

Scott and I had our pictures drawn while at the fair, I think it looks like us, its kinda fun to see us as cartoons.

And of course, there are the animals

Horses you could walk under! They were huge (of course I didn't get to see them but Scott and the kidos did, darn allergies)And there are the fair games!
This picture is from on top of the ferris wheel, so cool!

Birthday Fun

So, it was my birthday, yes I am still 22 years young! It was a great day, the night before, Scotty invited all of our friends over for a BBQ, and we had an absolute blast. It was impressive because Scott planned everything! He got me roses, and a cake with 22 candles on it :-) and he even got me balloons! The funny thing about the balloons was that they said CONGRATULATIONS and GET WELL SOON! (I guess they ran out of Happy Birthday balloons, or so he said) haha, on the way home from the store, the Get Well Soon balloon popped, Broadie was telling me all about it and the funny thing was at the end of the story he said, "mom, I guess since that balloon popped it means your not going to be getting better anytime soon." I laughed so hard ... he looked so puzzled when he said it, it was pretty funny! Anyways here are some pictures from my birthday

We opened presents

Acted Silly and ate cake

And of Course we played cards, I lost ...

Scotty, did get me the coolest present ever, he got me a new bike! It is awesome, I like it because it helps keep my posture good, and it is great positioning for my knees! It is super comfy and super nice! He did a really good job and I absolutely love riding around on it! Thanks honey, I love you so much

Broadie and Janessa got me some Double Stuff Oreo's, which are totally my favorite, and yes, I did eat the whole package .... so I guess I really do need to go ride my bike ... I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike
