Date Night

Scott took me on a date Monday night and we had a blast! It had been a while since we went on a "date" so it was a nice change. He took me to dinner at Chillie's and the theatre. We saw The Wizard of OZ. It was so much fun!! I just had to brag that I have the best guy ever!! :-)
Thanks for the date Scotty, I love you so much!

Broadies First Day of 2nd Grade

Broadie started 2nd grade last week (I know I am a little slow at posting). He is so excited!! I can't believe how fast time goes. It seems like just yesterday he was going into kindergarten!! And now 2nd grade already! Boy I feel so old!
Good luck buddy, I hope you have a great school year!

Lagoon Fun

Broadie, Scott, and kaitlan running through the water fountains at Lagoon
Broadie is an absolute nut we decided. He has ABSOLUTLY NO FEAR what so ever!! We went to Lagoon Sunday with a couple of our friends, Colt, Kari and Kaitlan and had an absolute blast. Broadie went on every single ride and was not even an ounce scared, pretty impressive for a 7 year old!! Here are a couple of fun pictures of us riding the rides

Broadies favorite and definitly the most scary in the park (not according to Broadie though) was the Catapult. Here is a nice little description of this ride!

The "Catapult" is frequently called the world's hottest new attraction, providing riders a unique, high adrenaline, vertical experience. The Catapult, manufactured in Europe, utilizes a specially designed spring machine that operates by applying over forty (40) tons of force to extension springs. This incredible propulsion energy is then transferred to the rider capsule prior to launch. When launched, riders will experience forces similar to astronauts as they are rocketed from ground level to well over 200 feet in the air. At the highest point, riders will become weightless momentarily as they freely rotate forward and backward before they are pulled back to Earth. After several oscillations up and down, the capsule is lowered to the boarding area to unload and load another group of riders.

This is Scotty and Colt going first on the Catapult Now is Broadie and Scotty's turn! Look at Broads, just chillin, he is so ready to go!! Love the face, smiling, not even scared! AMAZING!

So it was really funny there were some people walking by amazed that Broadie was going to ride this ride and they were asking if he was scared. I said no, then they said what kind of parent lets their kid ride a ride like that. So I turned around and said "I Do, he's not scared of it so why not. Plus I am not going to teach him to be scared. If he wants to do it I'll let him." I thought it was kind of funny! Tons of people gathered around to watch the "Little 7 year old" ride the craziest ride in lagoon. It was awesome!

The other ride we rode that was tons of fun that Broadie went on is called Wicked.

It's BIG, It's FAST, it's "WICKED." Lagoon announces it's most thrilling coaster, EVER! This state of the art coaster will thrill riders of all ages with it's unique ride elements.Riders will be launched to the top of the 110 ft. tower at speeds close to 41 mph. This element is especially unique as most roller coasters slowly lift riders to the top of the first hill, letting gravity do the rest. "WICKED" riders will instead be propelled by means of a linear synchronous motor (LSM) drive system, essentially rocketing riders up and over the top of the first hill. The 8-rider vehicles travel individually and achieve speeds up to 55 mph, passing though steep valleys, high banked turns, half-pipe, heart-roll inversion and more. Riders will be seated in two rows of four, facing forward, with the back row seats elevated above the front row. The lap/leg restraints will provide an exhilarating upper body freedom for riders. Speed gets up to 55 mph.

This ride was fun, it would shoot you straight up. really fast, then you would drop face first! Crazy Fun!

Scotty, Jess, Colt, and Kaitlan on the Rocket! Its a tower that is 214 ft up! So scary to be up that high but what a rush!
Yes I did hold my arms and legs out as we dropped! It scared the living beegeebees out of me!
Kaitlan and Broadie. They had a good day! Cute Kids!

Funny Pup

Our puppy Odie loves to take baths, but what is really funny is how he dries himself after the bath. He will rub around on a towel until he is dry. And sometimes inbetween using a towel, he runs laps around the house. Its pretty funny.... so I thought I would share.

Buzzing BeeZ

So we found this lovely thing this weekend. It is the biggest beehive I have ever seen. It has to be as big as my enormous head!! It was so awesome to see hanging from our tree! But I must say, those are some angry bees. We sprayed them with some bee killer and they ATTACKED!
:-0
Poor Scotty was in the line of their maddness but only because he was the only one brave enough to try and kill them. He was lucky and made it out alive :-)
Haha, I am just glad I have a manly man around to save me when I am scared :-) haha
