Lots to catch up on

Now that school is out for Scott and I, and almost Broadie, summer fun has began. It didn't start out so fun for Odie though, Friday night we noticed he was being himself. He wouldn't get up and play, he just layed in bed and acted really tired. Well Saturday was much worse. He just would not get up and play at all, towards mid afternoon, he was very lethargic and I could not wake him. SCARY!! Been through this before with another pet, so I called the vet and he met me at the office. Odie was running a fever of 106 and his CBC did not look good. The end result was that Odie had a very severe intestinal infection .. poor puppy, but the scary part was that the vet wasn't sure if the medicine would work for him or not. Luckily, Monday night the fever broke and my puppy is back to being his happy self. He is still on medicine to fight the infection but at least he is much happier!
Do you see the nasty bugs that have taken over my tree .... eeewwww! WHAT ARE THEY AND HOW DO I GET RID OF THEM! If you look closely, there are a bunch of holes in the tree, and the little bugs you see sticking out, it actually looks like the exoskeleton of whatever has taken over the tree. I have no idea what they are but they are most definitely killing my tree because only one branch has leaves (very small leaves) and my other trees are full of leaves!
Broadie and Tony had a fun sleep over this weekend also, they are good friends and excited because baseball season has started and they are on the same team! Should be a blast. There games are every tuesday and thursday mornings. Broadie has also started Scouts and has had a lot of fun doing that. He just loves to be busy. He has decided he wants to get baptized also, so we have been taking the missionary discussions. He thinks its pretty fun and is hoping to get baptized the first part of June.

Scott has been working really hard on building us a REALLY big shed in our backyard and this weekend he has completed it. With the help of Jake and Martin the shed is done! (HOORAY) I think it is enormous (its 8x14), but it looks great and I am sure it is built stronger then our house was built, that thing will withstand any natural disaster that comes along :-) good job guys. Odie likes it too, he thought it was a new dog house for him.

(Brion, Scott, Jason, Jake, and Martin)

Friends came over and BBQ'd and I must say I just absolutely love our friends, they are some of the best people I think I have ever known. They have become more like family to Scotty, myself, and Broadie. I love our weekend get-togethers and all the fun things we do together. I just need to get a picture of all us girls now. The boys are always posing for the camera and us girls forget to take one of us! :-)

Congratulations

Another semester has come to an end and congratulations is in order!
This house ROCKED a 4.0!
Scott did it, which is absolutely AMAZING!! Especially with the classes he takes!! Great Work Honey! I did it, which isn't nearly as cool as Scott's reach but I am still proud of myself!! Broadie is Rocking the Grades as well, he is one smart cookie, his report card couldn't have been any better! And to throw in a mix, our friend Jake (who is also a graduate engineering student - electrical engineer) also scored a 4.0!
We are the hizzle nizzle! We are one smart group :-) better watch out world, here we come. Just a few semesters left and we will be ready to rock and roll!

Save the Birdies

Usually Scott hears me screaming "save the wormies", because I love to save the worms I see in our dirt and put them in out lawn.. I'm strange I know. Well today I was out looking at the flowers in my flower garden and I had noticed that the robin eggs had fallen out of our tree. We have a nest this year in the tree in our front yard, and the eggs fell out. Scott and Jake were working in the garage and I think they thought I lost it, I came running in the garage for the ladder screaming "SAVE THE BIRDIES" .... I had to put them back in their nest. I hope they make it. Here are some pictures of the eggs and the nest in our tree. I hope we get to see the baby bird's this spring (I hope they make it, that was quite a big fall).

Broadie and Janessa went to the Circus on Thursday night. They had so much fun. They were able to go on elephant rides, pony rides, and see cool motorcycyle tricks. Broadie LOVED the smell (not really, he thought they stunck really bad). But all in all it was a fun outing for the cousins :-)
