Really ...

As Grandma Pat would say: "It was once said that a black man would be president "when pigs fly" indeed, 100 days into Obama's presidency SWINE FLU!!"

Seriously, I am so tired of the media making this such a big deal that it is time to poke a little fun about it.

IT IS NOT A FREAKING PANDEMIC PEOPLE!! If so, then what is it when 30,000 people die from the Influenza every year? I think any educated person should easily be able to tell that this is not what they say it is.

Yes it is a means to be cautious, as with any flu, BUT ITS NOT A PANDEMIC! Wash your hands, cover your mouth when you cough, stay home when sick. Eat chichen noodle soup. But these are things we learned in grade school that people seem to forget! I have now spent today researching this bug and it is the Swine Avion Influenza Virus and it can be treated with Antivirals and it is NOT the one that the microbiologists are worried about mutating and causing the pandemic. It is airborne, so it does spread easily, SO COVER YOUR MOUTH IF YOU ARE SICK AND STAY HOME! Easy solution to the problem right ....

People can get sick easily with this virus because we have not built up an immunity to it, because it usualy travels in pigs (hense swine) or Birds (hense avion) .... this is like the normal influenza virus we get (the human influenza virus mutates constantly and there are millions of strains which is why we get sick, you will never have the same flu virus) we just need to build immunities to the Swine flu, JUST LIKE ANY OTHER INFLUENZA VIRUS OUT THERE.

This is the same thing that happened a just a few years ago, and they actually have a vaccination for it! Hello! Someone pushing an agenda maybe? Media has a serious problem with pushing agenda's and making little things big things in my opinion.

Also, the one death in the U.S. because of the swine flu was a toddler, from Mexico, who was previously critically ill. So, why does that get chalked up as a death for the U.S.? I don't know, weird ....

Why are so many in Mexico dying, probably because they don't' have the heathcare system to take care of their people. This is a known fact and has been for a long time. Which is why it is spreading so fast. Also if you look at the people infected with it, most got it while on a trip to Mexico, or those that didn't go to Mexico were around someone who HAD been to Mexico. So, Mexico is "Dirty", don't go there! haha! As a friend put it, "if they would take a bath once in a while." Ok, yes that was a bad one, but it was kind of funny!
Also, I have noticed that people need to be really careful where they get their information about this, check reliable sources, such as the CDC (Center for Disease Control), WHO (World Health Organization), etc. Don't rely on the news to bring you correct information, its usually skewed.... just my opinion though :-)

Lets just go ahead and say it

Lets just go ahead and get my thoughts out in the open, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY MOMS HOMEMADE STRAWBERRY JAM!! Yup, I do, absolutely love it! I put it on EVERYTHING! Toast, sandwhiches, pancakes, german pancakes, muffins, bagels, and the list goes on and on and on, if I don't like something, what do I do, I put strawberry jam on it and it makes it all better :-) had to just get it out and in the open, MOM I love you and I love your strawberry jam! How would have thought that something so simple could be so yummy!

So here is to the best Jam maker ever! My Mommy! Thanks for the yummy lunch!

And Counting Down

So I know you are all probably sick of my constant counting down, but its super exciting for me,

(and still not trying to get my hopes up)

and I know there is a possibility it will move a little more,

its crazy how much this list has moved!

and SPRING IS HERE, my tulips are finally growing and they are goin to be HUGE!!

Soda Springs Geyser

On Saturday after the Easter egg hunt in Grace, Scott and I decided to take Broadie and Janessa to Soda Springs to see the geyser. Soda has the only capped and timed geyser in the world. This geyser was found in 1937 when they were drilling to build a swimming pool (cool find huh!), the water shoots up between 100-150 feet and is about 84 degrees Fahrenheit. It is timed to go off "every hour on the hour". Broadie loved sticking his hands in the water and finding the cool orange rocks that smelled like lovely sulfur. Odie just liked sitting on the bench with me, watching the madness below :-)

Every year for Easter for the past 4 or 5 years Scott and I have taken Broadie to the Grace, Idaho Easter egg hunt, well of course we had to do it again this year, so we took him and Janessa, and Odie of course :-). They love it, there is always lots of fun stuff for them to get, and they get to sit on the Easter Bunny's lap, and Scott and I have fun poking fun at the small town people (don't know why but the mullets and stuff make us laugh) haha..... Sunday morning was nice and quiet at our house, just Scott, Broadie and I, we had a lazy morning, then in the afternoon just tinkered around the house. Scott's family came for dinner and we did a little Easter Egg hunt in the back yard for Broadie and Janessa and we BBQ'd hamburgers and hotdogs. Scotts dad took the kids to the park to fly kites, they absolutely loved it, Broadies kite is a Shark and Janessa's is an airplane.

For spring break this year, Scott and I, and our friends, Jason, Brittany, Ralph, and Samantha all went down to Vegas. Scott rented a MINI VAN, yes, I did say a MINI VAN .... haha, and we road tripped it down there, we had so much fun! We stopped in Beaver Dam and stayed with Grandma Dona and Aunt Jodi, they made us a very large breakfast (that should have been fed to kings, not us goofballs) and it was so much fun! We then continued on to Vegas!

Friday night we went to a fancy, tasty dinner and to the cirque du soleil show KA (click on it and you can see what its like). We dressed up really nice, and had an awesome time! Then saturday morning we got up and went to the Hoover Dam to see the new bypass they are making, it was AMAZING! Saturday night we just hung out on the strip, high fiving everyone, it was Earth Day so they shut all the lights off on the strip (only they didn't think of the fact that doing that would also shut down the traffic lights, I will just let you imagine what happened, but needless to say it was a disaster of biblical porportions) We had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, which is one of my favorites! Sunday morning we headed home.

It was a fast trip but well worth it. I love the group of friends we went down with, the girls are just absolutely amazing friends, I love them to death and same with the guys, we couldn't have a better group of friends to waste our life away with! haha! If it wasn't for weekend get-a-ways and our weekly game night, I don't know what we would do, they are just too much fun!

How do you like the image I made, haha, it was fun, I have this cool new Adobe progam that rocks! I can do all sorts of cool things ... its just going to take a while to figure out :-) but I just thought I would let everyone know I am moving on the PA alternate list, I started at #21 on February 25th and I am now #13. Hopefully it will keep moving (I don't have my hopes set at all for getting in this year but its still good to know I am moving up the list) :-)
