Better Late then Never

OK, so an update has been a long time coming .... guess we have been a little busy :-)

The wedding plans are coming along, we are down to crunch time but I think it will be beautiful and lots of fun. Our invitations went out, if you didn't receive it please let me know! We had Scotty's sis take our engagement pics and we got a lot of good ones, below are my favorites

This one is my all time favorite (the one up above) ;-)

I also am happy to annouce that I am finally healthy :) I had the pleasures of catching the nasty bacteria, H. pylori, which in my opinion really sucked! I was sick for 3 months, nauseated every day, headaches, couldn't stay awake, etc! It was horrible! This bacteria seems to congragate in your stomach and causes ulcers, I did develop 3 ulcers, but that wasn't the worst part, the part I hated was feeling nauseated every day ... that just didn't work out for me. My doctor put me one some pretty hard core antibiotics, pepto, and prilosec and those made me feel even worse! But finally after 2 weeks of the mass amounts of meds, the bug is gone, at least we think it is!! Horray for me, and I think I am back to myself again (at least I don't want to puck all the time now, that makes me so happy) :-)
We finally were able to get our tree up and decorated, I will get a pic up of it soon, it looks good and so far Odie is leaving it alone, he also is leaving the presents under the tree alone, horray :-) I am really excited for Christmas, this year is going to be fun!
For starters my lil sis took me to see twilight opening night, we had a blast, although there was more estrogen then I thought physically possible. I loved the movie and can't wait to go see it again. I did think at parts the acting left a lot to be desired, but all in all it was good. Of course the books are WAY better!!! And a must read for everyone out there!

Scotty's birthday was the next day, it was pretty relaxed and we had a good time. We had his famiy over for dinner, I cooked a roast and potatoes (one of scotty's fav's) and we ate cake.
I was having fun with the cake thing and we needed to pick a cake flavor for our wedding cake so I thought it was a good idea to make every single cake flavor known to man (scotty is not a fan of cake so much so I thought he should try them all to help me pic one out) :-) He thought I was nuts but he played along for my sake :-) cuz he loves me .... here are some pics of my maddness ... we had soooo many cupcakes, it was fun!

On a bad note, I haven't had my car for a few weeks now, Scott has been so sweet and worked on it when he could (with his schedule of working full time, taking 13 engineering graduate credits, and trying to help plan a wedding, he has little time for anything), trying to figure out what was wrong with it, he changed the plugs and wires, and it didn't help. Finally, the night before last, he discovered that the mass air flow sensor has really died and was not working at all. This darn part on Jetta's goes out all the time, I have replaced it way too many times (only it never made my car act this way), well actually I guess I should say Scott as replaced it many times :-)... so the part will be in today and Scotty can have his truck back and I can drive my car (I love my car, and I'm not gonna lie, I miss it, I miss the good gas mileage it gets) But I have to say I am sooo incredibly greatful I have Scotty to help me out when things in my life go amuck, I would be completely lost without him. I think at times I drive him nuts ... but I am truely a lucky woman to have such an amazing man in her life! He helps me out so much! I love him!

Scotty is happy because the semester from hell is almost over with, this has been a very stressful semester for him and he is down to one week left, horray, every cheer him on for finals! He's down to the home run stretch, we are just praying that his next semester is a little easier and that I get into PA school this year (I'm up against over 500 applicants and 30 seats available, odds are rough, but I'm cool right :-) haha)
I did get a fun suprise Saturday night. Scott and his Mom planned a surprise bridal shower for me, and I couldn't have asked for a better surprise! My friend Samantha called me up earlier that day and asked it I wanted to go shopping with her, and I thought yeah, I have a friend who wants me to go shopping with her, I was so excited! So, we went shopping for a few hours, and we came back to my house and when I walked in the door my mom screamed! It scared me soooo bad I about peed my pants, I turned around and was running out of the house, I stopped when I heard some familiar laughs, and I turned around, everyone was on my couch, it was such a surprise!! The shower was a blast, Annie helped with games, they were fun, I think my favorite was the making of wedding dresses with toilet paper :-) We took pictures but they are on my moms camera, so I will get the pics from her this weekend and I will post them as soon as I get them. I had so much fun though, and I realized how much I love my girlfriends! They are so much fun and such amazing women! They are making this so special for me! I loved the "spicy" gifts I got too, they were fun ... and I am still working on getting Scott to dress in his "full wedding attire" :-p haha!!
